Click Start, click Run, type eventvwr.msc in the Open box, and then
press Enter.
Click the Application category.

Look For Recent Errors > Double Click on them > Another Windows Will
open > On the Right Side use the Double Notepad icon to copy the error
paste them here

Fault bucket 479Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.3156,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x000106c3.
239571.
The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.

And that error message is....? Those "certain folders" are....?

I'm afraid that no one can help if you don't provide at least a
modicum of pertinent information.

Re: Windows Explorer

Hi!

I have the same error message every time I open a folder containing videos
in Thumbnail view. Is there any other solution than changing the view to
tilesand?

Re: Windows Explorer

Solution to my problem:

I uninstalled the DivX -codec pack and the problm went away.
I found that solution on some other forum, so I'm not the only one who has
had the same problem with folders containng video files (avi-files).

Recently I've been having a problem with Windows Explorer closing when I've
tried to view photos in the My Pictures folder. Here is a copy of the error
message I received this evening.

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.3156, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x000111de.

I really need to view my photos so I can use them in other applications.

Thanks
