| Cdudf_xp failed to load error
I installed Easy Creator 5 and crashed my windows xp pro. So I removed it, but I'm still having problems. I read somewhere to delete cdudf_xp because it wasn't needed. Now when I insert my windows cd in the cd-rom on restart it doesn't read it. In the event viewer the error I get is "The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: cdudf_xp" Any suggestions? Thank you, Barb |

I did a restore point. When I pulled up Regedit, the choice was find. So I did a find. cdudf came up under folder Search Asst. then folder ACMRU, then folder 5603. I deleted it and restarted my computer and got the same error. Did I do that right? Should I put it back? I was able to delete all but the entries under the LEGACY_CDUDF_XP folder. I probably should not have been trying to delete that anyway should I have? | Re: Cdudf_xp failed to load error
Thank you for your help! I'm not getting the cdudf_xp 7026 error in the event viewer anymore, but my computer is still crashing. So I must have other issues. I keep getting a system error"Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000002, parameter2 805464ba, parameter3 ba787570, parameter4 00000000". I get a balloon message on boot up that my Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition is turned off. But it seems like the antivirus is working fine. The report from Microsoft says I may have 2 antivirus programs running, etc. There was also something about MMC.exe having a problem. Thank you again, Barb "Barb" wrote: > I did a restore point.
