Regsvr32

I am running XP Media edition with IE7 and just lately I can't open the IE it
takes about 4 to 5 min. to open but when it does there is no problem until it
tries to open a new page, then the same thing happens. While I am waiting, a
box saying Regsvr32
no dll name specified
Can't someone enlighten me on how to fix, what caused it and how to prevent
it?

RE: Regsvr32

On the start menu/.../system tools/ you will find an icon to run IE with No
Add-Ins. If that works, use the tools menu, "Manage Add-ons" to remove that.

I have tried spywareblaster, ad-aware, regcure, McAfee virus scan, disk
clean up, defrag and system restore and still the same. If I open IE by right
click and diabling add ons it works but I can't do that on most sites. If i
go to start button to system tools to IE it says no add-ons added.

RE: Regsvr32

You ran IE without those add-ins, and it did not have a delay. It seems
logical that one of those add-ins is causing that. You might disable them,
test, and reenable them, one at a time till the delay occurs. That one add-in
might be refreshed from where you got it.
