application cannot run in win32 mode

I am having a Windows XP pc with me. It is a Home Edition with SP2 update. Here everything looks to be working fine. But there is a small issue here. Whenever I try to right click on a folder and open it it gives me a weird error on the screen. The error is "application cannot run in win32 mode." The folder simply does not open up. I had recently added some theming application. I am sure that those software are not causing the problem.

Hello Sauvan, just go through the following steps, it should be fixed.

Click Start > Run and type :

    reg.exe add "HKCR\Drive\shell" /ve /d "none" /f

    then type:

    regsvr32 shell32.dll

See if it makes any changes.
