| DirectX c install issue
I am running XP SP2 and trying to download the latest version of DirectX c. I get through the download and get a "cannot finalize" message with another box that reads; "A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the cryptographic services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid." I have just completed the latest Windows update with certs. What do I need to do to resolve this please? |

Try this instead:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en The redistributable install a little diffrent, open the file as usual, open its contents to say,"my recieved files" in my documents, once its opened to,open recieved folder, then you need to scroll the page to the .EXE file, this runs Direct X the same as "end user"... "G......." wrote: > I am running XP SP2 and trying to download the latest version of DirectX c. DirectX 9.0(c) Same two Errors!! (cabinet file cannot be trusted, and verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled) when attempting to update from DirectX (b) to (c) . . . Sad because the Sony DVD/CD (DRU-840A) bundled sfw (Nero 7 Essentials) insists upon DirectX 9.0(c) . . . Maybe someone will provide answers. | RE: DirectX c install issue
I purchases two identical laptops for my kids for xmas. they are running vista premium and I was able to download DirectX on one of them no problem. The other one I am getting the exact same message as everyone else - "A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. " Someone please help. There has to be a fix for this and its not just happening with XP "TomTerrific" wrote: > DirectX 9.0(c) Same two Errors!! Get the directx redistributable. It is the file containing the directx software not just a web installer OR Take a recent game cd and install that directx version. Almost every game has a directx version on its CD |
