Thread: Setup Encountered Error

    Setup Encountered Error

    During the bootup process I get a message in a box that says "Setup
    encountered an error during installation. Error code 000D."
    There is a box to click on OK. I click on OK, and the boot process
    continues with no problems. I'm not aware of any problems. Is there any
    way I can find what is causing this message? Is is possible there are
    problems that I am just not aware of?

    A shot in the dark, as few details are provided in your post:

    The case had symptoms like yours, even the "The error comes up into desktop
    appearing on the screen. when it appears and you click ok, it disappears and
    the pc will run as normal", although resolved (?) in a questionable way.
    However might a look in the Event Viewer, Application and System provide
    details which may point at the application most likely causing the error in
    your PC.

    Google Error code 000D - can be to do with Roxio .

    I uninstalled Easy Media Creator 7 & 8 and installed version 9. I no
    longer have the problem. Thanks for your help.
