    Re: DCOM Error

As far as the error code is concerned, Error 10005 appears when "The service database is locked". Did you tried to run or stop any kind application or services just after booting the server when the system was not completely booted? I mean when we boot the server it use to load the startup items and services and takes some time for the same. And if you made any attempt to run or stop anything before the startup was completed on server, such error may occur.

So you need to wait for few minutes until servers loads all its services and startup items completely. It could also be that a faulty service installation procedure "locked" the database and in this case a reboot may help.
