    Keyhook.exe not found. SISBase.dll missing

When I restart Windows XP SP2 I get this message saying that Keyhook.exe
entry point not found. Then it mentions SISBase.dll not there. How can I
    resolve this issue?

You've probably updated your SIS graphics drivers.
Try reinstalling SIS drivers and if that won't help. It seems that the
base.dll file that came with the new drivers is faulty.

If you can download old base.dll file and overwrite the current one, that
would probably fixed your problem. If not you can run system restore, backup
old base.dll file and then update SIS drivers overwriting new base.dll with
the old one you've backed up.

    Nik,
Thanks for your information. I did a search for the Base.dll file and found
several. I tried to extract the SISBase.dll file for Windows XP. I then
restarted the computer but the same thing happened. To be more precise, the
box that comes up upon restarting is titled Keyhook.exe-Entry Point not
found. Then in the box it states: The prodecedure entry point? Read Key
String@CSISReg@@SAHPADOHOPAUHKEY__@@K@K could not be located in the dynamic
    link library SISBASE.dll

I tried to find a DIDBase.dll file online to download but couldn't locate
one. Please assume I know little about computers and may not have done your
previous suggestions correctly. Perhaps a step by step approach would help me
to understand your message. Thanks for your time especially on a Holiday.

    Hey Kathy,

OK, let's try to do this step by step.
First it would be good if you can do a system restore.
    Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Restore
You should revert your system priror to installing updated SIS drivers.

    Nik,
I'd rather not do a system restore as I just downloaded two other drivers
yesterday that solved several other missing files that I had. I found this
when doing a Norton Win Doc. Can't I just download that driver and fix it
    that way?

Yes, that was my first suggestion. Try to reinstall those drivers or search
    for updated one.

BTW, it's not holiday here Kathy, I'm from Croatia :)
You can also register on www.wincert.net/forum and maybe other members have
    something to add.

    First of all try this:
Run disk cleanup and defrag in safe mode, then run this command:
sfc /scannow click [OK] you will need your XP CD installation disk for this
    operation to accomplish.
    Does the issue still persist?.

= Try to Rollback your Graphic card driver by going to Device manager and
right click the Graphic card and select properties then click on Driver Tab
    and select Rollback button.

= Open a run command and type in:
    regsvr32 SISBase.dll click [OK]

= If you have the CD for your SIS Graphic card, if you do try to copy the
File SISBase.dll over the existing file, try this:
Open a windows explorer and locate this path:
    C:\Windows\System32\SISBase.dll <=copy here
You may have a faulty Graphic card that causing this issue every time you
boot up, are you sure you download the right driver for your Graphic card?.

= You can download the other drivers updates and save them on a CD then try
the System Restore to cure the issue with the Graphic card then install these
two drivers that will fix the issues you did have before!.
    HTH.

    Keyhook.exe not found. SISBase.dll missing

One of my clients had the same problem. It has to do with the driver for the SIS video chip. You have mismatched software. This is how I fixed the problem:

    1. Make sure you have the video driver disk or motherboard system disk for your video board or motherboard (if the video is built-in).

    2. Use the device manager to uninstall the display driver.

    3. Reboot your PC. Windows will discover new hardware and will want to install driver for it. Direct the installation process to search your driver disk.

    Good luck.
