Event ID 1003 error code 100000d1

I am using Windows XP Home Edition. The pc performance is getting lower day by day. My system is freezing a lot. My mouse does not movies and it take a very long time to see the desktop. I a not able to understand the reason. When I restart the pc I am getting a message on the screen that windows is recovered from some kind of serious error. The error code is 100000d1. I went in event viewer and found the same thing. Looks like some kind of virus problem here.

This kind of error appear if there is any faulty driver installed in your system. It can also be due to some software. It is necessary that you must check out in Control Panel > Add/Remove and get rid of unwanted stuff from your system. Wipe out the old drivers and software and then check back. I think in event viewer you can possibly locate the cause of issue.
