Hi, I have a problem with one Windows XP Client. I can't install any Windows

Hi Sasha,
First of all make sure your Time is set correct on your Computer ( you will
find in the Right-bottom of the screen).

Open a run command and try to Re-register these DLLs for the update Engine:
net stop wuauserv click [OK]
regsvr32 wuapi.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wuweb.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 atl.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wups2.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wups.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wucltui.dll click [OK]
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll click [OK]
net start wuauserv click [OK]
Also Turn any firewall and Defender for the Update (please turn ON after the
update either success or failure) Then Reboot your machine and try the
Updates.

You receive an access violation error and the system may appear to become
unresponsive when you try to install an update from Windows Update or from
Microsoft Update

"Also Turn any firewall and Defender for the Update (please turn ON
after the update either success or failure) Then Reboot your machine and
try the Updates."

You presumably intended to say "Also Turn OFF" but the OP will probably
figure out what you intended to say. However, if this is needed ( it's
not needed on my computer ) then logically you should also turn off the
anti-virus.

Precisely Gerry Turn OFF !!!.

The Anti-virus will not implicate such a problem on the download as much as
the Firewall and some Anti-spyware running in Protection Mode?.

I wanted the OP to turn OFF for the download session then turn ON for
protection if He/She surfed away from MS update site!.

Neither with Our machines here with High Security implemented on the
Protection software we receive all the updates and install it without a
hicks up or any problem whatsoever. I find it in the past if you didn't pay
attention for what updates are there to be installed you will end up having
this issue, why?, simply some updates will need to be installed separately
from other updates available for download.
