Help with a PCI device driver

I had just purchased a new HP Pavilion A6009N desktop here. It came with windows vista on the same. It came pre-installed here. And I simply formatted the pc and installed windows xp on the same. But somehow there is a problem with the pci drivers. Some hardware in device manager are not installed. I tried to connect a lan card to the system but it is not detected. What should I do here. I want to use Windows XP here because I am not really use to Vista.

Click on start and then click on run box. In that type msinfo32. Hit enter. Now here go under the Components and see what you can find. You can simply look here a list of devices which are having problem. Just cilck on it and then click on File > Export. Export it as a text file and open the content on google to find out solution for the same. That will be more easy for you to locate the problem you are facing. This is simply quiet easy and works well here.

There is one more way to fix the issue. Go in Device Manager and then simply right click on the problematic driver. Click on update drivers that's all. If your system is connected to the internet windows will locate the drivers automatically and update the same in your system. That's all. If still the system is not able to locate the drivers then you have to download them manually from the manufacturer's website. That's all.
