unable to install update KB951847

Hi, I’m using a Windows XP computer with Service Pack 3. I’m trying to install update KB951847 on this system but it is getting failed each and every time. I don’t know what could be the reason. So far I have tried 3 attempts and the same thing happens each time. Hope somebody here can help me out. Thanks.

Hello phaneesh, i would have helped you regarding this but the details and info you have provided is not enough. Can you just provide some more info such as if you are getting any error codes while running Windows Update. If yes, please let us know what is it? Also is your Windows XP Home or Pro edition?

saw this post while searching for solution on this. I had tried uninstalled all previous version .Net and push them back in using WSUS but failed to install. Getting them from MS Update website does not help either.. Any advise?

1. What error codes were returned by Windows Update?
How does I check on the error code? XP only show a screen that it was unable to install the update.
