    Exception Processing Message c0000013

The following error message pops up 4 or 5 time every time I start the
computer, and pops of 3 or 4 times intermittantly while I'm working. It
interferes with my work. How do I stop it?

    WINDOWS - NO DISK
    Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 475b6bf9c 75b6bf9c

    My computer specs:
    HP Pavilion a1540n
Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 5.1 Service Pack 2
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20 GHz.

Recently I've been using Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Sound Forge Audio Studio,
and a recently upgraded version of Animation:Master; one of those may have
installed an updated version of Quicktime or something like that. "Updates
from HP Agent" is always running and installing updates. I have McAfee
anti-virus & firewall running. A Google search on the above error only
returned 3 or 4 foregn language hits I couldn't read.

I will be thankful for any info on the cause of the above error or how to
    stop it.

    Thank you.

After installing Windows XP I changed the CD-rom driveletters.
In the registry i found that Sourcepad in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
was pointing to the old driveletter from where i installed XP from.
Now i changed the Sourcepad to the new driveletter and the message do
    not occur anymore.

    Hope it will help you.

Hi, i just got this exception fixed on my computer with some help form
    my pal.
On my comp, it was a trojan called scvhsot.exe stored in the system
folder. Identify this by scanning using kaspersky antivirus s/w.
Delete the exe file, when prompted by kaspersky.
Restart ur comp, now, open the autorun.inf files of each drive u have
and empty it. in the file u can c it opens sss.exe, this is the
program that, i presume is causing all the exceptions, when u delete
scvhsot, this sss.exe also gets deleted. once u empty the autorun.inf
files of all ur drives and save them, restart again. it should work!
If u want to search for the autorun.inf files, u can use 'Ava find
Professional' searcher. Make sure u change the file's read/write
permissions to let u delete its contents and save. Tell me if it works.

the problem is the flash cards disconnect them or unistall them from the device manager. look for generic drivers. the other option is to restore your PC for an earlier date but this is a temp solution untill someone use the flash cards again and the error will return.

XP Pro sp2 & all updates applied
    Root drive E
    Floppy drive A
    Zip Drive C
    DVD burner D

Yesterday I uninstalled Norton SystemWorks 2005 and after rebooting ran the appropriate Norton removal tool. Upon rebooting after the removal tool I got the dreaded "Windows No Disk c0000013 etc. Restored to a point before I uninstalled Norton. The error disappeared but Norton would not work & upshot is I would need to uninstall and reinstall if I wanted this restore point to function as before. Decided to uninstall and problem solve from this point. Read all post I could google including this forum. Most encounter the error after a Norton uninstall or Windows update but not all. So I started implementing variations of others' solutions. When I disabled the zip - no error msg. When I enabled the zip and put in a zip disk before booting - no error msg. Ran msconfig and disabled all startup items. Restarted and no error msg. Tested startup items and found Event Reminder's presence in the startup list was the culprit. When I disabled only Event Reminder at startup - no error with zip enabled and empty. Read how some folks were getting this error associated with card readers. When they removed the card reader their problem was solved. I didn't want to remove my zip but could change its drive letter. Next, with all enabled on my system, I changed the zip to drive D and the DVD burner to drive C. The error msg has gone away. Appears that in resetting the drive letter whatever got corrupted during the Norton removal was fixed. Whew!!! Hope this helps someone else solve the problem fast than I did.

    Look at Elias suggestion

Elias This worked in a snap. Thank you so much for the advice. I am not sure when the next time will be when I will visit this site again, but if I do I will look you up if that is alright. God bless you, whoever you are.
