Cannot import my movie into windows movie maker

I have got myself a olympus camera. I have made a video out of it sometime back. After I downloaded the movie from my camera onto my hard drive then I noticed that its a quick time movie. After trying to import the movie into the collection that I have made, I am getting the below error message:

I own an olympus sp-350 camera. I shot a video with it this weekend. When I
downloaded the movie from my camera onto my hard drive I noticed that it's a
quick time movie. When I attempted to import the movie into my collection I
    received this message:

The file C:\My Pictures\A1 Olmpus Camera Folder\ABC's\Q1049854.MOV is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.

How can I get it into windows movie maker, please help.

You mean to say that you hve .mov files? They should be converted to a compatible format before you can import them into Movie Maker. You can also get the full retail version of Apple QuickTime Pro which will be also good enough.

Well I download (Pazera Free MOV to AVI Converter 1.1) It converted fine. But when I put it into Windows Movie Maker I get this. C:\Documents and Settings\Ray\My Documents\My Pictures\Macy.avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box. If any of you can help me it would that would be nice.

There are many converters available for free, one such is Easy MOV Converter. This software quickly converts your MOV video files to AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, DVD, VCD or Svcd format. The application allows you to adjust the output settings of your videos, their appearance (4/3 or 16/9) as well as the audio volume. In addition, it supports large files (greater than 2 gigabytes) and the conversion in batch mode (batch).
