After a Repair of Office Windows Installer starts each time

Office 2003 crashed and required repair from Help & Repair loading from
    Original CD.
Now Windows Installer starts each time application is selected and then
attempts a further install. while Product opens to correct app.

How do I get rid of the Windows Installer??

Re: After a Repair of Office Windows Installer starts each time

William, Thanks for the quick response. I have already tried removing the
Windows Installer Cleanup Utility after repairing the Word program that was
    corrupted.

I had uninstalled the complete Office package and reinstalled and could find
no reason why the programs such as Word and Excel opened up with the
Installer Active after ensuring all programs had been reactivated and that a
full registry cleanup had taken place. I tried a change to manual running
under MS Services but that has not worked either - will disable it and see
    what effect I get.

    Regards

    William,

After stopping the installer in services I changed the properties to
disabled and this has cleared the immediate problem

Thanks for the advice William and I will follow up with a more thorough
review. At least I can get some progress on outstanding activities until I
    can complete all the checks.
