    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Blue Screen !!

Hey guys, after about 30 mins of running COD4 or COD5 I get a blue screen with the following error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Stop: 0x0000000A (0x00000000, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x806E4EA0). I am running an AMD 6400+, 4 GB RAM, ATI 3870, Windows XP Home.

Looks like some kind of conflict in installation. Did you installed any software or hardware in your system recently. Try to remove it. Mostly bluescreen appear due to hardware failure. It is necessary that you post the log report from Event Viewer here so that it will be easier for you to help. In Event Viewer you get detail on the error log.

Do you have multiple ram installed in your system. Just remove one and then check. According to me this is a hardware issue. Just disconnect everything from your pc except keyboard mouse. And check. If still it crashes then the only option left is format your system and install windows xp back. Bluescreen is a major bug and you cannot ignore it. It will be complicated for you to find a proper fix.

    Re: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Blue Screen !!

Right I did this and I admit that after I have done this change I no longer have the blue screen with the error, but now my PC is extremely slow! When I say slow I mean it takes 15 minutes to boot and about 5 minutes just to load a program like Word. Internet Explorer takes even longer. Is there any way in which one can undo the damage that verifier has done? I would rather live with the blue screen which I got only at a shutdown than a PC that I cannot use.

The stop error that you are getting on your screen mostly appear at the time of installation. That means you might be installing any new application or software and at that time this error appear. I am giving you a link that has more information on this problem with some troubleshooting tips. It can be issue with incorrect drivers also. Just check the link below and then see what you get.

You receive a "Stop error code 0x0000000A (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL)" error message in Windows XP

I am getting the same problem. I tried a number of thing but nothing worked. First my system was working extremely slow. I was confused what to do here. I checked in event viewer where I found a number of different logs but nothing helped much. I ran windows update. And that also did not helped. The last option that is left is format my system completely. I hope after that there will be no errors at all.

Yes even I think the same. I will have to format the system completely and then wait back for fix. I am getting this annoying error a number of time. The system is getting slower day by day. I am having no solution here. I started taking data backup. I found that in safe mode it is not crashing. It working simply well without much issue.

Can be a memory error. You can find that by using MemTest. This is a memory testing utility that will check your system for memory problem. You can use a bootable disc for the same and then run the same. If there is any problem found you will need to replace your memory. Bluescreen are usually cause due to memory failure only.

I formatted my system and it looks to be working well. There was not a memory fault. I was trying to install a scanner on my system. When I perform the drive setup there was a crashing problem. It was due to outdated drivers. Later on I found the driver through windows update and it looks to be working fine. There is no problem with the configuration at all.
