importing a ".MOI" file created on a JVC Everio

Hi, I am a Windows XP user. I have a Digicam which record the videos in .MOI extension. Though the camera manufacturer had provided Power Producer named software to work with these videos but it is not as good as movie maker and also very difficult. So I would like to create my videos using Moviemaker. But the problem is WMM is not compatible with this file format.

Hence I wanted to know if there is any plugin or codec from Microsoft or any other 3rd party which can make Movie maker compatible with MOI extension. If yes, please let me know soon. Many Thanks.

There is no such plugin with Microsoft or any 3rd party manufacturers which can make it happen. However you should check the following article which discusses the Everio but with the .mod format...maybe it will offer some
    ideas. http://tinyurl.com/3cr735
