Error copying Files: Filename too long

I started getting some problems after upgrading my Windows XP system with Service Pack 2. There are several files on my which I was able to comfortably copy from one place to another. But since I upgraded to SP2 it wont copy at all and end up with an Error Message. And some other files whose filename is exactly of same length (but filename different) and in the same folder.. can be copied without any problem. This is the error message which says “The resulting file name is too long. Specify a different file name".

I don’t have any idea what is wrong. Hope someone from here can help me fixing this. Help appreciated.

Hello C Stern. Can you tell me exactly how long is the file name which is not getting copied? Until you reply i'll suggest you to better check this MS KB Article describing the same problem with solution:

Files, Folders, or Path Names with More Than 259 Characters Are Not
