I have a Dell desktop running with Windows XP Service Pack 3, patched with all recent Windows Updates. The system also has Radeon 9700pro with the newest catalyst drivers and direct x 9.0c. The problem i am facing is Blue Screen on this system started about 2 weeks ago. I get this BSOD 4 to 5 times a day with STOP error message saying "a wait operation, attach process, or yield was attempted from a DPC routine." I dont know what is it related to . In the error message it also suggests me to disable BIOS memory caching and shading. Here is the complete error detail:
"0x000000b8 (0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)"
I dont know what has gone wrong. I remember i haven't made any changes to the system recently. Apart from this blue screen i dont receive any other error message. However sometimes while playing games the graphics may start to go weird, such as vertical lines of patchy colours. The graphics drivers are updated to the most recent version. I guess the BSOD is problem is somewhere related to the graphics card.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
