The print spooler service is not running

This morning, all my printer drivers are gone. If I try to add a printer I
get this message "Operation could not be completed. The print spooler
service is not running".

If I go into my "services", I don't see my TCP/IP Printer service anymore.
I try to add it with "add/Remove program", but each time, the installation
crashes, with this error "System stand-alone Optional component manager has
encountered a problem and needs to close"

Any ideas?

What happens when you start the spooler?

Re: The print spooler service is not running

At the CMD prompt i get this error:

C:\Documents and Settings\serge.REG6>net start spooler
The service name is invalid.

And If I check the services, I don't see it anywhere.

Re: The print spooler service is not running

If the print spooler service has been deleted, you'll need to Repair Install
to get it back.
