Windows Media Player Crash/error

I am getting an error in Windows Media Player that is very annoying. I work at the help desk manager for a medium organization. Every computer on the network are joined to a domain that uses Windows 2003 domain controllers, about half are Windows 2000 and the rest are Windows XP. This all computers are also updated to the latest service packs applied. The issue happens on Windows XP computers only, but not all. If WMP is opened then a Dr Watson error pops up after about 10 seconds saying that WMP has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. When the user ignores the error window and moves it out of the way then WMP keeps working, but if they select one of the options the error Window offers, then WMP closes. Below is the error message that am getting related to:

The version numbers and fault addresses changed based on the version the user is running.

WMP11:
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 11.0.5721.5145 ModName: wmp.dll
ModVer: 11.0.5721.5145 Offset: 00146577

WMP10:
AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.3802 ModName: wmp.dll
ModVer: 10.0.0.4036 Offset: 001b4f1a

Info from event viewer:

WMP11:
Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.5721.5145, faulting module wmp.dll, version 11.0.5721.5145, fault address 0x00146577.

WMP10:
Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 10.0.0.3802, faulting module wmp.dll, version 10.0.0.4036, fault address 0x001b4f1a.

Please help me out? Thanks

RE: Windows Media Player Crash/error

When you are getting that much of information, then open event viewer for OS details, you might also download and run WMDiag from microsoft.
