Want Hibernate button Instead of Stand By button

I am running Windows XP and I use Hibernate option many times than the Stand by option in turning off computer window. In this window when I press the shift key then the Stand by button changes to Hibernate button. Is there anyway to get Hibernate button instead of Stand by button and if I click shift key the Hibernate button change to Stand by button? Any ideas? Thanks.

You can try to modify the registry editor and see if that works:

    1. First of all go to Start>Run>type in "regedit" without the quotes
    2. After that navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
    3. Now try to rght-click Windows, point to New, and then click Key.
    4. In the New Key #1 box, type System, and then press ENTER.
    5. Right-click System, point to New, and then click Key.
    6. In the New Key #1 box, type Shutdown, and then press ENTER.
    7. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
    8. In the New Value # 1 box, type ShowHibernateButton, and then press ENTER.
    9. Right-click ShowHibernateButton, and then click Modify.
    10. In the Value data box, type 1, leave the default Hexadecimal option
    11. selected, and then click OK.
    12. Quit Registry Editor and then restart. That should do it.

Also follow the article written on "When you click “Turn Off Computer” on the Start menu, the Hibernate button does not appear in Windows XP or in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005" from the below link:

You can try doing the below registry "hack" and see if that helps:

Go to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\Shutdown and then create a DWORD value named ShowHibernationButton and set its data to 1.

You will need to change the Registry Values to make it back to default way.
    1. First of click Start - Run - type REGEDIT and press Enter key.
    2. After that expand To: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
    3. Now check in the right-side pane, set the value of both entries to 0:
      HibernateAsButton
      ShowHibernateButton
