Windows Vista to Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing

I have a desktop computer (with Vista) connected to the internet through an
ethernet cable. A small network of computers running Windows XP is connected
through a network to my main computer(no wireless adapters, just simple old
10/100Mbit LAN). I have a LAN adapter on the same computer which was
dedicated to Internet Connection Sharing with the rest of the network. I've
just purchased Windows Vista Bussines and upgraded my Win XP Pro and I can't
make the computers on the network to conect to the internet even if the main
computer has ICS enebled. It is just as my main computer ICS isn't there.
What am I doing wrong? And if not me, then what can I do to solve the
connection sharing with the rest of the computers.

Presumably your machines are all connected through a switch? Easiest answer
is to get a router and connect that to the switch, then internet access is
    independent of any one machine....
