Adobe reader internal error 2711

I am using Windows XP SP2 with Adobe reader 7. Since past few days I am facing problem with adobe reader. Whenever I open any PDF file, it gets crashed. So the first solution according to me is to uninstall and re-install Adobe, right? That is what I am not able to do. My system is not allowing me to uninstall adobe reader. Every time I try doing, it gives me the following error message:

“Internal Error 2711”

I also tried running installation setup without removing but yet the same result. Can anyone please help me out with this? Many thanks.

You can try uninstalling the same in Safe Mode. In many cases where we cannot do any task in normal mode, Safe mode use to help us. Try doing the same. Also did you tried contacting/posting question on adobe support for the same? What does they say?
