'Cancelling The Download Of Subscription Rights' Message

    Hi,

I’m not sure if I really have any major problem with my Windows XP but I want to make it clear. Today morning after watching a movie in Windows Media Player when I closed the window I received an error message stating:

“Cancelling The Download Of Subscription Rights”

As I am using XP since 3 to 4 years and never saw such error message, can anyone please tell me what is it related about? Which Subscription is talking? All suggestions appreciated.

Hello Costas, i though i was along with this error message but seems like i got a company. Anyways, i can be sure saying that there is not any major problem because i am facing this error since 2 weeks now. Anyways, did you find any solution for the same? Please let me know as well.

Windows Media Player has always been a pain, hence i quit using WMP and moved to VLC and Winamp. If you dont mind, i will suggest you to do the same itself. If you want to be stuck with Windows Media Player then just try out the following and see what happens with the error:

Go to Windows Media Player Tools > Options > Apply Media Information menu tool. Let me know what happens.
