    Stop 0x0000050

I am getting the below error message:

    0x00000050 (0xFFFFFFF5, 0x0000000, 0xF746D6C5, 0x00000000)

ntfs.sys with an address and time stamp

I have a pentium 3 machine with 512mb ram. I am not able to boot into any of the safe mode, and had to disable automatic restart on system error in order to get this information because otherwise it will continously restart itself. I will try to boot in debug mode to check if I can get more info since I am successfully get it to come up in order to see event viewer or check virus scan. There was one post that suggested RAM problem, will also try memtest86. Thanks for any info

The same file in your system might be missing or corrupted for some reason, so try to copy the ntfs.sys from the XP CD by starting your computer with the CD in the CD-ROM and follow these instructions in this KB:

Thanks for the suggestions, it worked like a charm. I had the ntfs.sys file on a floppy but because I cannot get the machine to boot, copying it from the floppy was no an option to me. I have tried to use the recovery console and this is the only time I was actually able to fix an issue with it.
