Acrobat failed to load its core dll

I am getting a error on my screen when I try to open a pdf file. The error is "Acrobat failed to load its core dll". Adobe is installed in the system and the OS is Windows XP SP2. There were some recent updates installed on my system. I think the issue is due to them. How can I fix it. I performed disk clean and a software that cleans system registry. But still the error is constant.

Try to re-install Acrobat reader and then try back. Some internal components are modified due to which you are getting the problem. I do not think Windows update is responsible for the same. You can simply install it back again and check back. If you can find the setup you can also perform a repair setup to ensure that all files are properly fixed.
