Messenger Sharing USN Journal Reader service

Though I am using Windows XP since long years, recently started using MSN Messenger because many of my colleagues using the same. While exploring the same I came through ?USN Journal Reader service?.

As I?m new to MSN, I don?t have any idea what is it and what does it do. So can anyone please tell me what is USN Journal Reader service and if it is not required, how can I disable the same?

Many thanks.

Re: Messenger Sharing USN Journal Reader service

Hello Czack. MSN USN Journal Reader service is just for Sharing Folders. The USN journal is what does all the synchronization magic. As it is not harmful from anyway, i don't think you need to disable it.
