    System standby failed

I am getting an error that states "System Standby Failed. The device driver for the 'Standard 101/102-key for Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard is preventing the machine from entering standby. Pease close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update the driver."

This error occured after installing the last microsoft updates in my computer. I have a keyboard with the usual function keys, numeric keypad, cursor and home/end etc plus 18 special editing/internet/volume control keys. Please help me to fix this problem. Thanks.

    RE: System standby failed

Get into the device manager and then rollback the driver for the keyboard. After that use System Restore to a point before the latest update. You will then need to update the driver for the keyboard. After that go to Add and Remove Programs and check show updates at the top and scroll down to the update you suspect is cauing the issue and remove it.

Thanks for the replies, after removing the Adobe Type Manager the device error went away and the software that installed Adobe Type Manager also started to work properly.
