error code: 80048821 - Windows Live Messenger

I’m using a Windows XP based HP Laptop. Until yesterday everything was working great on this system. I was able to login hotmail accounts & other Live products via my Passport login without any problem including Live Messenger. I don’t know what went wrong at night, today when I’m starting Live messenger it gives me an error message saying:

“Error code: 80048821”

Any idea why is it appearing?
