    GTA San Andreas

I was able to play GTA San Andreas on my pc without any issues but few hours back it started hanging on my computer with a blue screen. It will happen any time from 1 minute of gameplay or after an hour. After resetting the system a little, there is a window that pops up with a message saying that "Windows has recovered from a serious error" and has written a log file file to the temp directory. How do i solve this issue? Thanks.

Well, because this issue has just started to happen, then you can try to do a System Restore and see if that works or not:

So, I tried the System Restore and went back to a few days when there was no blue screen error and then played the game for more than 1 hour before it did it again. I was actually very further in the game but for some reason I again started to get a blue screen. I have sent an error log to Rockstar Games but have yet to receive a reply.

Can anyone tell me whether the crash is happening in the same place in the game as before? If it is, then its developer Rockstar will have to release a game update to correct the problem, or you might be able to find a saved game online from another player who's reached just at the point you are playing at.

Try to follow the below method and see if that works:
    1. Restart your computer by using a clean boot procedure
    2. Remove and Reinstall the Game
    3. Adjust graphics hardware acceleration
    4. Disable AGP Texturing in the DirectX Diagnostic tool
    5. Temporarily disable the sound card in Windows
    6. Lower sound acceleration
    7. Download and install the most recent version of DirectX
    8. Update your video driver
    9. Update your sound driver
    10. Scan your computer for viruses
    11. Remove spyware
    12. Install the latest VIA chipset drivers
    13. Create a new user account in Windows XP
    14. Change the compatibility setting

Check the below link as well on "Game crashes or closes unexpectedly":
