| Failed to load resource dll error
I have a Toshiba Satellite. I am using XP home edition. When I right mouse click an icon for the first time after rebooting or startup, I get the error "Failed to load resourde dll" I can close the error and continue, with the icon's menu coming up. The error does not occur again until I reboot or restart, it only happens the first time I right mouse click any desktop icon. Please help, I have ran registry and dll cleaners without success.  |

There must be a failing shell extension. You can identify it by following the steps under "Method 2" in my article here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm |

Like others since I changed from Yahoo messenger 10 to version 11 (on XP) the missing resource DLL appears. Have taken the program off (using the program's uninstall) - used CCleaner and Glary etc. Rather than messing with installing yahoo messenger 11 yet again - which seems to be yahoo's problem - is there a way to simply go to a web site? |
