About a month ago I bought a compUSA laptop which came pre-loaded Windows XP Home edition. It worked fine until last night. Today when I’m trying to boot the laptop, it gives me the following error message:

“Stop: c000021a fatal system error
Windows logon process system process terminated with a status of 0xc0000135 0x00000000 0x00000000
System has been shut down.”

I tried booting it by selecting “Lat Good Known Configuration” but yet the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Most probably the error "STOP 0xC000021A" occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. Hence you will need to troubleshoot them in order to fix the booting problem.
