wmm won't import MPG file

What does the following message mean? I receive this message when I try to
import an mpg file made from "studio 9"

C:\Documents and Settings\randi cohen\My Documents\My Videos\Thinking Like A
Supervisor\thinking like a supervior.mpg could not be imported. An interface
has too many methods to fire events from


I am trying to get an mpg file to play in powerpoint -- It won't play as mpg
OR avi -- any thoughts?

This is the Movie Maker newsgroup. I would have thought the Power Point
group would have been of more use.

However, Movie Maker falls on its nose where MPG files are concerned. A
trip to www.videohelp.com/convert to grab a file that will convert your MPG
to an AVI would be in order.

I just said the same thing in his/her other post just above this one.

That's OK Wojo. Because of the frequent delays in the news arriving here I
did not see the other post you refer to. I have taken care of the delays
though, they won't happen again.

I had the same problem so I just found a movie maker that takes mpeg2.Google mpeg video wizard and download it there is a 30 day trial so you can try it out. It's so easy to use its way better than WMM.
