Acer DVC-V2 USB webcam driver

Currently I am using Windows XP. I have an ACER DVC-V2
webcam. It was
flawless on Windows 98. when I tried to install its driver
to my Windows XP
it always failed.
It says:

The class installer denied to upgrade / install the
driver.

I tried to install the DVC-V6 driver to resolve the
problem but it seems that
my DVC-V2 is not compatible with DVC-V6 driver. I have
tried to find a
recent upgrade from ACER but they don't make its driver
anymore.

Can you help me, maybe some trick to make the class
installer accepts it?

According to the comments in the end of that page it works fine with XP.
