| Volume Control Window does not appear on Desktop...
I am having trouble with my Windows XP volume control. The icon is displayed on my toolbar and on my start list of programs, however, when I double click on it, it opens on my toolbar, but does not open a window on my desktop. I can't "restore" it by right clicking the toolbar tab, nor can I drag it to the desktop. There is no volume window and it's driving me kookoo! Please help.. S. |

Just to confirm, have you already tried this out? Go in to Control Panel and then in Sound and Audio Devices and then check mark the "Place volume icon in the taskbar" option. if not then try out the same and then let me know if it is helping. |

Yes, I have tried this and the checkbox is selected already. The volume icon is on my taskbar, but the accompanying "window" with the actual controls does not open, nor can I select "Restore" when I right click the icon on the taskbar. Hmmmph! :( |
