    chkdsk on startup

    every time i boot my xp, it starts chkdisk.
    once it gets to the middle of stage 2 of 3, it freezes and i can't do anything.
    how do i stop chkdisk on startup because it won't go past that screen.

    Possibilities for chkdsk at every startup is that your hard drive has some bad sectors. Anyways, we have many articles here on this forums that will help you to Stop/Fix it. Just checkout this:
