    Windows Application Error 0xc0000135

    Hello all,
Recently, every time I open Google Chrome, I receive a Windows - Application Error. This is what it says:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application."

Not sure if this is related, but around the same time, my Symantec Anti-Virus started to crash a lot and not be able to hold a continuous scan, etc.

Checking earlier posts related to 0xc0000135 I downloaded Microsoft's .NET stuff but this did not help.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you all!

Well try the below steps and see how it helps you :
    • Insert the installation disc.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the Lock button, and then click Restart.
    • If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
    • NoteIf your computer is not configured to start from a CD or DVD, check the information that came with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.
    • Choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    • Click Repair your computer.
    • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • On the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair might prompt you to make choices as it tries to fix the problem and, if necessary, it might restart your computer as it makes repairs.
