help with Realtek AC97 driver

I had to get a new hard drive because of a virus and after i installed XP on the new hard drive, i had no sound. It sais i need to install the realtek AC97 driver but at the end of installation, a blue screen pops up and my computer shuts down. Can someone please help me??

Where did you get the driver from?? If you downloaded it, make sure
that it's compatible with your sound chip on Motherboard.
