"Re-installing the application may fix this problem." In this case, "the application" is iTunes. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Jimbo wrote: > I have Windows XP and this message appears every time I start my PC. I want to thank you guys for your replies. I have re-installed Tunes and qtcf.dll is in my desktop, However, When I click on them, they won't open. I went to " Add and Remove programs" and did a repair on tunes and that didn"t help. I still get this message. I'll just have to keep on trying and hoping to fix this problem. It should be in: C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem If it is not, your installation is defective or somehow got changed if it worked before and iTunes will not even launch. The reason you see it at restart is because the iTunes installation adds things to your Windows Startup configuration and they won't launch either without that qtcf.dll, hence the errors every time you start your system. If you want iTunes to work you should uninstall iTunes from Add/Remove Programs (doing whatever kind of music/album backup thingys they suggest), remove the qtcf.dll from your desktop (because it is wrong) and if you put it in system32 remove it from there also (because that is not where it goes), reboot, download and install the latest version 9.0.2 from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ |

I would suggest reposting to Apple's support forum, specifically the iTunes section. -- -- "Jimbo" <Jimbo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D55059A6-C9A1-4ADF-A82C-7C7D5F627DE5@microsoft.com... >I want to thank you guys for your replies.
