Windows Movie Maker Publishing problems

When I try to publish Windows Movie Maker shuts down...vista gives me
information saying that there was a DEP problem, but it won't allow me to
turn DEP off for Windows Movie Maker.

How can I fix this? It is very frustrating to spend hours making a movie
and then not be able to publish it!!!!!!

I'm having the same issue....man, is it frustrating! I tried to turn off
DEP, but it won't allow it for Windows Movie Maker. I have not installed any
programs for some time, and recently successfully published a movie, so what
gives? Also, I checked the security for the actual *.MSWMM project file
(also using Vista OS)...Is there anyone out there with some answers?

Hey Guys,

I had this problems a few days ago as well and i found out that (in my case) it has to do with the sound of the clip u added into WMM. On your timeline there should be a little plus in a box and if u click that u get the sound of the clip u added (if it had any). In my case i had muted them all and so what i did is i unmuted them and put the voolume to 0 instead. Then i tried publishing and it worked.

Now I have come across the problem where it publishes to 99% and then freezes and i haven't managed to fix that yet. If anybody knows plz tell me this is really frustrating.
