Microsoft Windows Installer Clean Up Utility

Can anyone tell me if the MS installer cleanup utility a better way to uninstall applications than using the control panel or add or remove programs? I am asking this because I want to uninstall a Roxio software and heard that by using the control panel only, partially gets rid of the roxio mess? So, does anyone has some information about same? Thanks.

Actually, the windows installer cleanup utility is not an uninstaller but it will remove Windows Installer packages like .msp files or such.

You can use the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel application or else use the application uninstaller itself that comes with such program. Microsoft Installer Clean Up Utility isnt an uninstaller but it will just cleanup the microsoft installer registry entries only.
