Hang with WMM on a Vista 64 bit Laptop

Hi,

I have a brand new HP laptop with Vista 64 bits with 4GB of RAM.
I successfully made a 5 minutes clip wit WMM. But then I added Audio, it
start to slow down then Hang. On the Task Manager, the WMM Process seam to
takes up all the available memory. At the end I need to kill the process.

I took some papajohn advices and start to rename some of the Codecs that may
cause problems such as claud.ax I found on a Quickplay area. It doesn't help.
Anybody knows if the Codec problems widely discussed in forums are still on
the latest computers/Vista ?.

Can anyone give me any idea where to investigate ?

Thanks in advance,

jmcather

Yes, codec issues are in Vista also. But MM6 in Vista includes the Tools >
Options > Compatibility list to uncheck line items instead of having to
search them down and rename the extensions.

Hi PapaJohn,

Thanks for helping, I have a french version but don't think is different. I
have tried Tool > Option > Compatibility it only propose me Quarz.dll,
nothing else.
I have tried to uncheck it, makes no differences.

the next check would be the source files you're using in the project....
they may need conversion before importing
