The Sims 2 Graphics Error - Driver

Hi there,

I am having a major problem with my display driver when playing The Sims 2
Apartment Life.

After 5 or so mins of playing, or using particular building tools, the game
crashes and returns me to the desktop, which is now 16 colours, 640x480 -

I had a similar problem with Vista, but it was much more manageable -
happened a lot less frequently, and the game didnt crash - just flickered a
few times and come back.

I have downloaded the latest drivers, but this hasnt helped. Also, ive
forced T&L to software, to no avail (is now back to hardware)

Forgot to mention that apart from this glitch, the game runs like a dream
(the problem seems to not be constant - some days it does it every time,
sometimes i dont see it happen for weeks...

Works on my notebook with an Integrated Graphics card. Try updating your
video card drivers, Don't know what card you're using, but usually it means
going to intel.com, nvidia.com or ati.amd.com, identifying your video card,
and downloading the newest drivers for that card.
