DPC Routine BSoD
I'm running XP currently, and I am NO computer expert. Lately, I've been getting a BSoD that says something about:
"A wait operation, attach process, or yield was attempted from a DPC Routine."
And finally something about "physical memory.
I get them after trying to join a online game on Warcraft III. I can log onto Battle.net fine but whenever I try to join a game, I get the BSoD. Obviously, I thought it had to do with "DPC Routine" but after asking around I never really got it fixed. Only thing was heard something about drivers being the problem, but again I am no expert so I didn't want to tamper with it that much. I havn't installed anything new that I recall.
Please help me guys! My computer isn't that great but it has always been able to run Warcraft III (It's about the only game I can handle besides Starcraft.)
Re: DPC Routine BSoD
Well I haven?t came across Error Code ?0x000000B8? hence don?t have any personal experience with this but I found few knowledge base articles on Microsoft describing the error with solution. I think you should check the same. They are as follows:
"Stop error code 0x000000B8 (ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC)" error message occurs after you install Tivoli Storage Manager
"Stop 0xB8 ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC" Error Message When You Use a Parallel Port Zip Drive
?Stop 0x000000B8? error message on a computer that has the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator installed in Windows Server 2003 or in Windows Small Business Server 2003
