I have a Blue Screen.

Hello. I'm trying to fix my girlfriends computer and have come up with my old good friend, the blue screen.

My situation is that Windows XP Professional runs up and gets stopped by chkdsk. It checks files systems on C:\ Drive. after it's complete, it tries to load up the OS. about 2 seconds into loading I get the screen with these tags;

I've checked through this site and i've seen a couple of the tags been mentions, i've attempted the methods of fixing it, I fiddled with the RAM to see if it was in place and in properly and it is. If any of you can tell me anything. It would be much appriciated.

I have the following message showing on the blue screen
Stop 0x000000ed (0x84 fc9d98,0xc0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) unmountable_boot_volume.
I am unable to go beyond the blue as each time I reboot it goes back to the blue screen.

Please someone help me...
