CD-ROM DRIVE WONT PLAY OR BURN CD'S

Hi, can someone please help me?
Everytime I try to play a CD or burn mucis from itunes I get the message
"Disc burner not found".
I opened device manager to troubleshoot my sony cdrwdrive crx 310EE and i
get error message Windows cannot start this hardware because its
configuration info (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19).

Can someone please help me with this?

Hi.If you have the disc that came with your cd-rom.Go to control panel.Remove
your cd program from add-remove programs.Restart your pc.Reinstall your
disc.That should fix the missing files.Sometimes if you have a glich in a
program or if you had trouble with another program,or unexpected shut down it
can make some programs go screwy.Hope this helps.TERRY
