(MS) AV-eXtended Security Center

Okay I have picked up a virus.

It will not clean with One Care.

It comes up as a false virus.

I have the address but cannot erase.

I know I am not the first.

This "Virus" forces you to a Virus software website and you cannot get rid
of it.

When One Care asked for access by this software, I said NO, so I think that
prohibits me from even access to get a AV program if I wanted one.

I can use a computer and have some cleaning knowledge, but I can't figure
this out.

Please advise.

Thank you.

RE: (MS) AV-eXtended Security Center

Malwarebytes is a good one to try.
It removes that AntiVirus 2008 and 2009 fine.
Run it in Safe Mode.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Malwarebytes is as the name says, a Malware Remover!
For the Free version scroll down their page to either download from
Download.com, or Major Geeks.com

Download, install, and update.

Important re: Safe Mode
If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot
the computer, and go into Safe Mode.
To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On / Startup, and use UP arrow
key to get to Safe Mode from list of options, then hit ENTER.
RESCAN your computer with your Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes while in Safe Mode.
