| Windows Media Player 11 Lagging
Hi All, One of my laptops seems to have a bit of a problem. When trying to open any music file, it can lag for up to two minutes, and when moving to the next song, media player hangs and the hdd light is quite solid. Have tried obvious things like defragging, but to no avail. Cheers, Gavin |

No, I still get the same issue with nothing else running. All my background processes are relatively normal, and nothing eating too much resources. Run your antivirus. Turn off all non-essential services (google startup list or see here) : http://www.3feetunder.com/krick/startup/list.html or http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php Use this to see what's running (at boot up, services and ressources) : http://codestuff.tripod.com/products_starter.html Cheers, Jerry |
