| Can't open "My Recent Documents" folder
Hi, everyone! From "My Computer", I go into "Local Disk", "Documents and Settings", then into the folder named for the owner of the comuter, me. But then when I try to access the "My Recent Documents" folder, explorer freezes, I hear the computer running something, and after about 30 seconds, I still can't access the folder. This happens when I so much as click on the "My Recent Documents" folder. This doesn't happen with any other folder, and I'm logged in as the owner. I haven't changed any settings from the last time I accessed this folder, which was about last week. Can anyone give me some help on how to fix this? I have no idea what is wrong. Thanks so much for any help! |

When you rightclick the Start button, then Properties, you will find a way to clear that folder. -- Please use the Communities guidelines when posting. http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/locales...help_en-us.htm Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users. Mark L. Thanks for the reply! But I actually don't want to delete the contents of the folder, I just want to be able to browse it like I used to. I'm also concerned that there is some program running that I don't know about whenever I try to access the folder. Thanks again for any help, everyone! "Mark L. I deleted the folder contents like you said, and that seemed to have fixed the problem! I can now access it like I used to. I guess it just got too full, because I didn't empty it once for the years I've used the computer. PLease disregard my other reply to your post. Thanks so much for your help! You really saved me an immense amount of time and frustration! "Mark L.
